What does the cat-and-muffler delete give you?
Running a turbo-back with no catalytic converter and no muffler clears both the emissions device and the silencing out of the system. That's the most open path in this PX2/PX3 family — gas isn't slowed by a muffler and the note is at its fullest. It's a stripped, purpose-built configuration for a 3.2L Ranger used off the road, where outright flow matters more than refinement.
What does deleting the cat mean for compliance?
Taking the catalytic converter out removes the emissions device from the 3.2L diesel's exhaust. That makes this turbo-back not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW; it is for off-road use only.
