Built for the newer truck, the MPI Automotive SSMKFD0275T-B is a stainless 3in dpf-back listed to fit the Ford Next-Gen T6.2 Ranger V6 — it starts behind the diesel particulate filter, runs without mufflers, and exits through twin black tips at the side.
What sets the Next-Gen V6 application apart?
This SKU is cut for the Next-Gen T6.2 Ranger with the V6 diesel, a different platform and engine to the earlier PX-series ute. The dpf-back layout is matched to that truck: it replaces the exhaust from behind the diesel particulate filter rearward, leaving the DPF and upstream pipework alone, and at 3in it is sized to the V6. Getting the right SKU for your generation matters, which is why this one is specific to the Next-Gen V6.
What does the no-muffler layout do?
With the mufflers deleted, this build runs more open and louder than a dpf-back that keeps them. There is no resonator standing in, so the note is fuller from the filter back, finishing through a twin black-tip side exit.
