Built for the V6 Everest and keeping a centre muffler in the run, the MPI Automotive SSMKFD0297 is a 3in DPF-back listed to fit the Next-Gen T6.2 Ford Everest V6. The retained centre muffler makes it the more subdued of the Everest DPF-back builds, finished on a 4in tip.
What's specific to the V6 build?
This SKU is cut for the V6 Everest rather than the four-cylinder, and it keeps the centre muffler in place. That centre muffler is the headline: it gives the system a second stage of chambered silencing, so the note stays refined behind the V6 rather than getting boomy. At 3in from the DPF back, it's sized for the engine while leaving the filter and emissions hardware untouched, and it exits through a 4in tip.
What does a DPF-back change, and what stays?
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, so the DPF and everything ahead of it stay in place. On the V6 Everest that frees up the rear section without touching the emissions hardware.
