Deleting the centre muffler and finishing on a 4in tip is what sets the MPI Automotive SSMKFD0303 apart — a 3in DPF-back listed to fit the Next-Gen T6.2 Ford Everest 4cyl 2.0L bi-turbo. It keeps the diesel particulate filter and leaves the run freer through the middle.
What does a DPF-back cover on the Everest?
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, leaving the DPF and the emissions hardware ahead of it in place. On the 2.0L bi-turbo Everest that's the section where a 3in upgrade frees up breathing room without touching the filter. The SSMKFD0303 deletes the centre muffler, so the mid-section flows more openly, and finishes through a 4in tip for a tidier rear exit.
Why drop the centre muffler?
Leaving the centre muffler out clears a chambered restriction from the middle of the system, lifting the note a little over a fully muffled build while the DPF and downstream pipework keep the worst of any drone in check. On a diesel four it's a measured change — more presence, not a hard performance car note. The 4in tip rounds out the look at the back.
Is the DPF retained?
Yes — as a DPF-back, this system keeps the diesel particulate filter and the emissions hardware in front of it.
