Ford Ranger (Pre-DPF) PX, PX2, 3.2L, 3in Turbo Back Without Cat, Without Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKFD0305 is the most open build in the pre-DPF Ranger family: a 3in turbo-back for the PX/PX2 3.2L that deletes both the catalytic converter and the muffler. As a cat-delete, it's an off-road-only system.
With neither cat nor muffler in the run, the SSMKFD0305 is the freest-flowing, hardest-noted of the pre-DPF Ranger turbo-backs — nothing in the path to silence or restrict the 3.2L turbo-diesel. A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet back, the bigger-bore span where a diesel frees up, and at 3in it's sized for the engine. This one strips it right back.
Because this run deletes the catalytic converter, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold for off-road use only. With the muffler also deleted it's the loudest of the family, intended for off-road, competition or property use on the pre-DPF Ranger.
It's listed to fit the pre-DPF Ford Ranger PX and PX2 3.2L. The pre-DPF/DPF distinction is critical, so confirm your build is the pre-DPF version with us before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this MPI turbo-back in the Illawarra for off-road use. We verify the pre-DPF configuration and check clearances against your Ranger before the bay is booked, treating the listing as a guide rather than a guarantee and confirming the build suits your intended use.
