The MPI Automotive SSMKMI0031 is a dpf-back, not a turbo-back — it starts behind the diesel particulate filter, so the DPF and the emissions hardware ahead of it are untouched. It's the stainless, no-muffler build, listed to fit the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport QE/QF/QG (2015–2024) at a 3in bore.
What does a dpf-back cover?
A dpf-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward — a shorter, more compliance-friendly span than a turbo-back, because it leaves the DPF and everything upstream of it in place. On the Pajero Sport that means the SSMKMI0031 changes the back half of the system without disturbing the factory after-treatment. It runs the 3in bore MPI lists for it through to an open tail.
