Twin-side exit, fully open: the MPI Automotive SSMKTY0052 is a 3in dual system for the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ200 that exits left and right, with both the catalytic converter and rear muffler deleted. The L and R exit routing splits the system across both sides of the rear.
What does the left-and-right exit change?
Rather than finishing through a single tail, this build exits on both the left and right of the rear. The dual L and R routing carries each bank to its own side, which changes how the system packages under the back of the VDJ200 and how the exits present. It is a routing decision distinct from a single-exit layout, and worth confirming against your rear bar and tow gear.
Why is it not road legal?
The SSMKTY0052 deletes both the catalytic converter and the rear muffler. Because the catalytic converter is removed, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road or competition use only. With no muffler in either path, the note is raw and undamped — the least restricted build in the VDJ200 L-and-R range.
