Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 V8 Ute 3in NO Cat, With Muffler DPF.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKTY0127 is a 3in DPF-back system for the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 V8 ute, run with a muffler and no catalytic converter. With the cat removed from a road exhaust, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only.
The SSMKTY0127 deletes the catalytic converter, making it an off-road part. Removing the cat from the VDJ79 V8 DPF-back run strips out emissions hardware the ute had from the factory, so it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW. It is intended for competition or off-road property use, not a registered vehicle.
This build finishes through a muffler instead of a straight-through resonator, so it leans toward absorption and keeps the note more subdued than a hotdog-only section. At 3in the bore is sized for the 4.5L V8 turbo-diesel, so the run flows for the engine while the muffler holds cabin drone down on a long off-road day.
It is listed to fit the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 V8 in ute body. Cab and build vary, so send yours through and we will confirm clearances before ordering, as listing data is not a guarantee.
