MPI Automotive Toyota Hilux GUN126R 2.8L Turbo Back 3in Muffler With Cat.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKTY0141 is a 3in turbo-back exhaust for the Toyota Hilux GUN126R 2.8L, run with a muffler and keeping the catalytic converter. Being turbo-back, it replaces the system from the turbo outlet rearward, a longer span than a cat-back and the bigger-bore step where a turbo-diesel like the 2.8 frees up.
A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet all the way back, so the SSMKTY0141 takes in more of the system than a cat-back would. At 3in it is sized for the GUN126R 2.8L turbo-diesel, retains the factory cat for the emissions hardware, and finishes through a muffler to keep the note civil rather than raucous on a working ute.
This is the with-cat build, so the catalytic converter stays where the factory put it, the key point for road compliance on a diesel ute. Pairing that with a muffler rather than a straight-through unit keeps the 2.8 controlled at cruise. Confirm the exact build and any state requirements with the workshop before fitting.
It is listed to fit the Toyota Hilux GUN126R with the 2.8L. Diesel routing and clearances vary by build, so send yours through and we will confirm before ordering; listing data is not a guarantee.
