The MPI Automotive SSMKTY0145 is a 3in turbo-back with a hotdog resonator and no catalytic converter, listed to fit the Toyota Hilux GUN126R 2.8L turbo-diesel. The no-cat hotdog build is the open option here — a straight-through resonator on a cat-deleted run for the freest flow and the hardest note.
What does the no-cat hotdog layout give you?
This turbo-back deletes the catalytic converter and uses a hotdog — a compact straight-through resonator — as its only silencing. Together that's the most open of the GUN126R builds: gas runs cleanly with nothing chambered to slow it, so the 2.8L's note carries hardest. It's the choice for an off-road Hilux where flow and character matter more than quiet.
What does turbo-back cover on the GUN126R?
A turbo-back run replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet back, a longer span than a cat-back and where the 2.8L turbo-diesel frees up most.
