This is the most open GDJ76 build: the MPI Automotive SSMKTY0418 is a 3in turbo-back that runs cat-delete and no muffler, listed to fit the Toyota Landcruiser GDJ76 wagon 2.8L turbo-diesel (2023-current). With both the converter and the silencer left out, it is the least restricted, off-road-only configuration of the family.
What does cat-delete with no muffler mean here?
The SSMKTY0418 takes the most open route its family offers: it deletes the catalytic converter and runs no muffler, so neither a cat nor a chambered silencer sits in the path. That makes it the freest-flowing and hardest-noted of the GDJ76 set, but it strips the emissions control the wagon left the factory with. It is the bare-pipe option for an off-road build where flow and volume are the priority.
Is it road legal?
No — because the SSMKTY0418 deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant turbo-back, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only. With no muffler it is also the loudest of the set, and removing the cat means the Landcruiser no longer carries the emissions equipment required for a registered vehicle here.
