The MPI Automotive EMG327 is an extractor gasket listed to fit the Ford Falcon BA and BF V8 with the 5.4L 3-valve Barra DOHC engine. It is the sealing gasket between the cylinder head and the extractor flange.
What is an extractor gasket and what does it do?
An extractor gasket seals the joint where the extractor flange bolts to the cylinder head exhaust face, keeping combustion gas in the pipework at each port. On the 5.4L 3-valve V8 it is a heat-cycled consumable, fitted fresh whenever the extractors or manifolds come off. The EMG327 is the gasket pattern matched to that engine, supplied here for the BA-BF V8, and is the sealing part rather than the extractors.
