What is a rear muffler and where does it sit?
The rear muffler is the silencer at the back of the exhaust run, the last box before the tailpipe. This part is just that one Everflo unit rather than a complete cat-back. It's the piece you replace when the original rear silencer has rusted out or blown — the most exposed muffler on a wagon — restoring the rear silencing without redoing the whole system.
