This is the full twin-twin V8 ute kit: the FORD-FALCON-BA-BF-V8-UTE-TWIN-TWIN-2-1-2-CATBACK-KIT-INC-XPIPE-2-X-EVERFLO-MUFFLERS from Exhaust Systems Australia runs dual 2in pipes the whole way, crossed by an X-pipe and silenced by two Everflo mufflers. It's a cat-back listed to fit the Ford Falcon BA–BF V8 ute.
What does a twin-twin layout mean on a V8 ute?
Twin-twin means dual pipes front and rear — two banks carried all the way back rather than merging into one — which suits the BA–BF V8 by keeping flow split across two 2in runs. An X-pipe links the two sides at one crossover so the banks can equalise, evening out the pulses, and a pair of Everflo mufflers shares the silencing across both pipes. It's the most complete of the cat-back layouts in this family, built for the ute floorpan.
Why an X-pipe and two mufflers?
The X-pipe balances the two banks at the crossover, which tends to smooth and round the note of a V8. Splitting the silencing between two Everflo mufflers, one per side, then keeps the character even down both pipes instead of loading one rear box.
