Why the black chrome tips?
Mechanically this is the same twin 3in stainless cat-back; the difference is the visible rear finish. Black chrome tips give a darker, less reflective look out the back of the FM Mustang's diffuser instead of the bright stainless of a standard tip — a finish choice if you want the tailpipes to read tougher and sit with a blacked-out rear treatment. Everything ahead of the tips is the same 304-stainless system.
What does the twin 3in cat-back do?
It replaces the exhaust from the catalytic converters back, with two 3in pipes — one per bank of the Coyote V8 — running rearward through mufflers to the black chrome tips. The cats and factory emissions hardware stay in place. With mufflers retained it keeps a controlled street note rather than a raw straight-through sound.
Is it road legal?
Being a cat-back, it fits behind the factory catalytic converters and leaves them in place — the part that matters for emissions compliance. No compliance statement is published by the supplier, so confirm the build and any NSW requirements with the workshop before fitting.
