The simplest of the Falcon sedan kits, this 2in cat-back (FORD-FALCON-EA-EB-ED-EL-EF-AU-6CYL-SEDAN-2-1-2-CATBACK-KIT-INC-EVERFLO-MUFFLER-T) is built for the EA–AU six-cylinder Falcon sedan around a single Everflo muffler and a tailpipe — the clean, no-frills rear replacement.
What does a single-muffler cat-back give you?
With one Everflo muffler and a tailpipe, this is the pared-back end of the Falcon sedan range — no second muffler, no resonator. The Everflo is an absorptive/chambered unit, so it quietens by soaking up sound and keeps the note civil. For a straight-six Falcon it's a straightforward like-for-like rear replacement at 2in rather than a sound-tuning exercise.
What is a cat-back?
A cat-back covers the system from the catalytic converter rearward. It leaves the engine and emissions hardware in place and reworks the back half — here a single muffler and tailpipe sized at 2in for the six. Because it stops at the converter, it doesn't touch the front pipe or the engine's standard breathing.
