What's in the cat-back kit?
This is a complete cat-back: it replaces the pipework from the catalytic converter rearwards, so it's a system change rather than a single muffler. The kit bundles a hotdog — a compact straight-through resonator — to settle drone without choking flow, and exits through a dual tailpipe at the back of the ute. That gives a more finished result than a rear-only can, because the bore and silencing are matched along the whole run.
What does the hotdog resonator change?
A hotdog is a small straight-through resonator built to knock the edge off cruise frequencies while staying free-flowing. On the FG ute it tunes the note so the system can open up without a constant highway boom — the trade most owners want from a cat-back over a louder straight pipe.
