Why ceramic coating on a truck extractor?
The silver ceramic coating is a thermal barrier baked onto the steel. It helps keep heat inside the runners rather than radiating it into the engine bay, and it resists corrosion and bluing far better than bare metal, which matters on a hard-worked truck that sees a lot of heat cycles.
