This is a tubular extractor (header) set for the supercharged 5.0L V8 in the FG Falcon. It uses a 4-1 design with 1-7/8in primary tubes feeding a 3in outlet, and wears a black ceramic coating. The 4-1 layout means all four primaries on a bank merge into a single collector, the classic high-rpm extractor geometry.
What do ceramic-coated extractors change?
Extractors replace the cast manifolds with tuned tubular runners to scavenge each cylinder more evenly, and the black ceramic coat is a thermal-barrier finish meant to hold heat in the tube and resist surface rust. On a supercharged V8 the engine bay runs hot, so a coated header is about heat management as much as flow.
