Range Rover/Land Rover Discovery V8 3.9L 1970 - 1993 Extractor (FX-881) Fits LAND ROVER/RANGE ROVER.
Category: Extractors and headers

The MPI Automotive FX-881 is a V8 extractor set listed to fit Range Rover and Land Rover Discovery models with the 3.9L V8, from 1970 to 1993. It replaces the cast factory exhaust manifolds at the heads.
An extractor, or header, swaps the cast factory manifold for tuned-length tubes that merge downstream, with the aim of reducing back-pressure off the cylinder heads. On a V8 that's a set per bank at the very front of the exhaust. We don't publish power or sound figures for the FX-881, because the supplier doesn't and we won't quote numbers we can't verify.
The FX-881 is listed to fit the 3.9L V8 across Range Rover and Discovery applications from 1970 to 1993. That's a long span of older hardware, so confirm your exact model, engine and build with the workshop before ordering. We treat it as 'listed to fit' rather than guaranteed because feed data on vehicles this age can be incomplete.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Rover V8 extractors in-house. On hardware of this era the condition of the studs, head faces and the pipework downstream matters as much as the part. Send us your details and we'll confirm the FX-881 and book the work.
The FX-881 is an MPI Automotive part with a recommended retail of $879.37. As a header for an older V8 it may be an order-in item, so ask us about lead time when you book.
