Redback 2.5" Catback Exhaust.61
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback K-RPM15700 is a 2.5in cat-back exhaust for the Holden Commodore VU and VY Series 1 ute and the VT and VX wagon, with the rear muffler deleted. The deleted rear box is what sets this one apart — a more open, louder note off the back.
This cat-back runs from behind the catalytic converter to the tailpipe with the rear silencer left out. With one stage of quietening removed at the back of the vehicle, the note is louder and harder than a fully muffled system. It's the choice for an owner who wants a more open sound and is fine with the extra volume that comes with it.
It's listed across the VU and VY Series 1 ute and the VT and VX wagon — the load-carrying Holden bodies rather than the sedans. Ute and wagon floors route the rear section differently, so a kit shaped for those bodies is what suits these cars. The 2.5in bore is the larger of the common Commodore pipe sizes.
As a cat-back it starts behind the catalytic converter and doesn't alter the cat; the supplier doesn't publish whether a cat is included. Because the rear muffler is deleted the car will be louder, and exterior noise limits apply separately to emissions, so confirm your state's noise rules and the exact build with the workshop before fitting.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this cat-back in-house across the Illawarra. We mate it to your front pipework, set the tailpipe for the ute or wagon body and check the hangers. Bring the car in and we'll confirm the fit and the louder note before booking.
