Redback Exhaust 2.5" System with Hotdog Centre
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback K-RPM15797 is a 2.5in exhaust system with a hotdog centre for the Ford FG Falcon ute, built 02/2008 to 12/2014. The hotdog centre is the defining feature — a compact straight-through resonator in the middle of the run.
A hotdog is a compact straight-through resonator: gas passes through a perforated core wrapped in absorptive material rather than through chambers. It takes the edge off the note and trims drone without choking flow or adding the volume drop of a full chambered muffler. Run in the centre of the system, it gives the FG ute a freer-flowing mid-section than a conventional centre muffler while still calming the tone.
At 2.5in this is the larger of the common Falcon pipe sizes, matched to the FG ute pipework. Keeping the system and hotdog at 2.5in means a consistent bore through the centre of the run, which is what the straight-through resonator is built to flow.
It's listed to fit the Ford FG Falcon ute across the 02/2008–12/2014 window. Because that span covers the full FG ute run and several variants, confirm your exact build, engine and the rest of your pipework with the workshop before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this system in-house across the Illawarra. We mate it to your front pipework, set the hotdog centre and tailpipe and check the hangers clear the tray. Bring the ute in and we'll confirm the fit before booking.
