Redback Performance Exhaust.5" with Hotdog and Rear Muffler Delete (SKU.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback K-RPM16005 pairs a hotdog resonator with a rear muffler delete, so this 2.5in system trades the quiet rear box for a freer, louder exit on the Holden Commodore VS V6 Ute. The hotdog stays in to tame centre drone while the deleted rear muffler opens up the note.
Deleting the rear muffler removes the last absorptive box before the tailpipe, which is the part that does most of the quietening. The result is a louder, harder note off the back of the VS Ute. Redback keeps a hotdog in the centre as a tuning section, so it isn't a wide-open straight pipe — the hotdog still works on resonance and drone while the car gains volume.
This is a rear muffler delete, not a catalytic-converter delete, so it doesn't strip the emissions hardware. Noise is the consideration: a deleted rear box raises volume, and stationary and drive-by noise limits still apply for NSW registration. Confirm the build and any noise requirements with the workshop before fitting.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VS V6 Ute, and the 2.5in sizing matches the V6 rather than a built V8. The ute body routing differs from the sedan, so this assembly is shaped for the tray. Send your exact VS build to confirm hanger points and tailpipe exit before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits the K-RPM16005 in-house. On the hoist we mount the hotdog centre, run the muffler-delete rear, set the hangers and check the tailpipe clearance past the tray and bumper so nothing fouls under load.
