Just a rear resonator in the run and no cat — the Pacemaker KB9015-XXXR is the lightly-silenced, cat-removing 3in turbo-back for the Mitsubishi Pajero NT (4M41T 3.2L turbo-diesel, December 2008 to October 2011). One tuning silencer at the rear, nothing mid-system, no catalytic converter.

Why a rear resonator and nothing else?

This NT build drops both the centre muffler and the catalytic converter and leans on one rear resonator to set the note. A resonator is a tuning device, not a broad absorber — it cancels the narrow band that becomes constant-cruise boom on the 4M41T, while leaving the run otherwise open. With no centre can in the way, it flows more freely than a muffled build and carries more presence than stock, but with the cat gone it is a louder, harder-edged option than a cat-retaining resonator setup.

Is the KB9015-XXXR road legal in NSW?

No catalytic converter is listed with this build, so it is a cat-removing turbo-back: not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW, and sold for off-road use. We won't soften that. If your NT Pajero is registered for the road, speak to us first about what your vehicle needs to stay compliant before fitting a cat-delete system.

What does the 3in turbo-back cover?

It replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet all the way to the tailpipe in a single 3in bore — the full turbo-back span, longer than a cat-back, and the section a 3.2L turbo-diesel tends to free up most. The consistent diameter keeps the bore even from the turbo to the tip on the NT body.
