Straight through, no silencer, no cat — the Pacemaker KB9015-XXXX is the most open build of this 3in turbo-back range for the Mitsubishi Pajero NT (4M41T 3.2L turbo-diesel, December 2008 to October 2011). With no centre muffler, no rear resonator and no catalytic converter, it is the freest-flowing and the loudest of the NT options.
What does a fully straight-through run do?
With the centre muffler, the rear resonator and the cat all out of the line, the exhaust has an uninterrupted path end to end and nothing to soak up or bounce back the pulses. That gives the NT's 4M41T its rawest, fullest voice — sharpest under load and carrying the least restriction in the range. It is the choice for owners chasing the bluntest character and an unimpeded run; for anyone who wants the cabin note settled on a long highway leg, a resonator or muffler version is the better fit.
Is the KB9015-XXXX road legal in NSW?
With no catalytic converter and no silencer in the run, this build is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold for off-road use. There is no softening that. If your NT Pajero is registered for the road, speak to us about what your vehicle needs to stay compliant before fitting a straight-through cat-delete system.
Where does the 3in turbo-back run?
It replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet to the tailpipe in one 3in bore, the full turbo-back span and a longer section than a cat-back. On a 3.2L turbo-diesel that is the part that opens up most, and with no silencers fitted the bore runs clear and consistent from the turbo to the tip on the NT body.
