The Pacemaker KB9020-XXXX strips every silencer out of the run: no centre muffler, no rear resonator, and no catalytic converter on this 3in turbo-back for the Mitsubishi Pajero NW (4M41T 3.2L turbo-diesel, June 2012 to November 2016). It is the most open and loudest-noted build offered for the longest-serving body in the family.

How does a bare-pipe build behave?

Nothing sits in the line to soak up or bounce back the exhaust pulses, so the 4M41T speaks with its rawest voice — fullest under load and carrying the least restriction of any NW option. Owners pick this when they want the bluntest character and an unimpeded run end to end. The trade-off is honest: with no muffler or resonator there is nothing to settle highway drone, so a silenced version is the better call if cabin comfort on long hauls matters.

Can the KB9020-XXXX be registered in NSW?

No. With the catalytic converter removed and no silencer fitted, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold strictly for off-road use. We state that plainly rather than dress it up. Owners running a registered NW Pajero should talk to us about what their vehicle actually needs to stay compliant before going to a bare cat-delete pipe.

What span does the 3in run cover?

From the turbo outlet to the tailpipe in a single 3in diameter — that is the turbo-back length, more pipe than a cat-back covers. On a 3.2L oiler it is the stretch that tends to free up the most, and because no cans interrupt it here, the bore stays clear the whole way down the NW underbody.

Common questions

Is this the loudest NW option?
Yes. With no muffler, resonator or cat in the run there is nothing absorbing the pulses, so it is the loudest and most open build listed for the NW Pajero.
Does the KB9020-XXXX retain the cat?
No. No catalytic converter is listed, so it is a cat-delete straight-through turbo-back — not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW, and sold for off-road use.
Is it listed for my NW Pajero?
It is listed to fit the Mitsubishi Pajero NW (4M41T 3.2L turbo-diesel), June 2012 to November 2016. Check your exact variant with the workshop before ordering.
