What does the resonator-only silencing achieve?
A resonator is tuned to one job: cancel the narrow cruise band that booms in the cabin, and leave the rest of the run to flow. Drop the centre muffler in favour of one and the NX breathes more openly than a muffled build while the catalytic converter stays in for emissions. The note carries more presence than stock and less hum than a bare straight-through pipe — a flow-minded cat-in choice that still keeps the highway manners in check on the platform's final variant.
Is the KB9025-XCXR road registrable?
It keeps the factory catalytic converter, so the emissions hardware the NX left the line with remains in place — and that is what decides a diesel's road compliance. We supply it as a listed fit rather than as certification for any one vehicle, so confirm the build and any NSW requirements with the workshop before booking.
What does the 3in run replace?
All of it from the turbo outlet back to the tailpipe, in a single 3in diameter — the turbo-back span, longer than a cat-back. That is the stretch a 3.2L diesel opens up most, and on the short-run NX the even bore carries through to the rear resonator.
