Carrying both a centre muffler and a rear silencer, the Pacemaker KB9025-XXMR is the twin-silenced 3in turbo-back for the NX-generation Mitsubishi Pajero (4M41T 3.2L turbo-diesel, 2014). It is the layout in this family that works hardest to keep the note settled, because the gas passes through silencing twice before the tailpipe.
Why run a centre muffler and a rear silencer together?
Splitting the silencing across two points along the run lets each unit do less work and gives the system the broadest control over the note.
