What does a rear-resonator-only setup do?
Unlike a muffler, which absorbs and reflects sound across the board, a resonator is a tuning device — it cancels a specific frequency, the kind that turns into cabin drone at steady highway speed. The KBD9210-XXXR uses a rear resonator only, with no centre muffler, so it leaves the 3in pipe more open than the muffled builds while still attacking the worst of the cruise drone. What is a 3in DPF-back?
