A single centre muffler and no rear resonator define the Pacemaker KBD9215-XXMX — the centre-muffler-only 3in DPF-back for the facelift Mitsubishi Pajero Sport QF 2.4L turbo-diesel (4N15, 2020–2025). One silencing stage opens the rear note up a touch over the twin-silenced build.
What's different about centre-muffler-only?
The KBD9215-XXMX silences through one centre muffler and leaves the rear pipe free of a resonator. The muffler handles the absorption that keeps the 4N15's diesel note in check, but with nothing behind it the rear section flows a little more openly than the version that adds a rear resonator. On the QF range it's the in-between choice: more settled than a bare pipe, with one fewer restriction than the fully silenced option.
What does a 3in DPF-back replace?
A DPF-back swaps the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter to the tailpipe, sitting behind the factory DPF without disturbing it. The single 3in pipe is matched to the Pajero Sport's 2.4L turbo-diesel to keep the rear section breathing freely. Since the system starts after the DPF, it only changes the back half of the exhaust — the filter and the front emissions equipment stay as Mitsubishi built them.
