With a rear resonator and no centre muffler, the Pacemaker KBD9215-XXXR is the resonator-only 3in DPF-back for the facelift Mitsubishi Pajero Sport QF 2.4L turbo-diesel (4N15, 2020–2025). Because a resonator tunes out drone rather than cutting volume, this is the most free-breathing build in the QF range.
Resonator only — what does that mean here?
A resonator isn't a general-purpose silencer like a muffler; it's a tuned device that cancels one frequency — the drone that builds in the cabin at steady speed. The KBD9215-XXXR fits a rear resonator and skips the centre muffler, so the 3in pipe stays more open than the muffled QF builds while still targeting the worst of the cruise drone. It's the least restrictive of the KBD9215 configurations, for owners who want the freest rear section.
Where does a DPF-back sit on the QF?
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, behind the factory DPF, leaving that hardware in place.
