What does this system cover?
This is a complete dual run for the EB-EF V8 sedan: extractors at the front to gather the exhaust gas off the heads, then a 2in pipe back through a hotdog resonator up front and a muffler at the rear. Because it starts at the extractors and carries through to the back, it replaces the factory manifolds and the full pipework in one package rather than just the muffler section.
What are extractors and what do they change?
Extractors (tubular headers) replace the cast factory exhaust manifolds with separate tuned tubes for each cylinder. The aim is to let each cylinder scavenge more cleanly than a shared cast manifold allows, which is why they're a common starting point on an older V8.
