The MPI Automotive MKSZ0009 is a 2-1/2in extractor system with a cat, listed to fit the Suzuki Jimny XL 5-door 1.5L. It runs without a centre muffler and keeps a rear muffler.
What does this system cover?
Built for the five-door Jimny XL with the 1.5L engine, the MKSZ0009 is a 2-1/2in extractor system that includes the cat. It deletes the centre muffler and retains the rear muffler, making it a header-back package rather than a tailpipe-only change. The centre-out, rear-in layout is a familiar way to open a small exhaust while leaving a box to keep the note manageable.
What is an extractor system and what does it change?
Extractors replace the factory manifold with tuned tubular runners, and at 2-1/2in the pipe behind them is larger than stock for the little four. Retaining the cat keeps the emissions hardware in place; running without the centre muffler and leaning on the rear box shifts the tone.
