What does this headers package cover?
The PP5361-27 combines 1 3/4in tuned-length extractors with a 2 1/2in system for the VY Series 2 and VZ 5.7 V8 Ute. The primaries are 1 3/4in and the system behind them is 2 1/2in. This is the rear-pipe-only variant, supplied without a rear muffler — the run finishes on pipe. We publish no power, flow or sound figures and won't quote any.
What are tuned-length headers and what do they change?
Tuned-length headers replace the cast factory manifolds with separate primary tubes cut to a deliberate length before they merge. The length is chosen to order the exhaust pulses off each cylinder rather than just clearing them through one casting. On a 5.7 V8 ute like the VY Series 2 and VZ the aim is a cleaner path off the heads, carried through the 2 1/2in system, with a fuller note as a by-product.
