Pacemaker PP5361-71 is the full 3in system for the Holden VU and VY Series 1 V8 ute, off 1¾in tuned-length headers. The 3in pipe on the ute body is the deciding feature — a larger-bore engine-back system with the rear routing shaped for the ute.
What does the full 3in ute system cover?
PP5361-71 replaces both the cast manifolds and the factory pipework on the VU / VY Series 1 V8 ute, from the heads back. The 1¾in tuned-length headers feed a full 3in system, with the rear section routed for the ute's tray and rear-axle layout. It's the complete engine-back package, not a rear-section-only or tailpipe change.
Why 3in on a V8 ute
The 3in bore opens the pipe for a V8 ute chasing a freer top-end or carrying other breathing work, trading a little low-rpm velocity for more flow higher up. Behind 1¾in tuned-length primaries — the street-V8 bore that scavenges cleanly without bleeding low-down torque — it's the bigger-pipe option over the 2½in ute systems.
