What the rear-pipe-only 3in build covers
This is the 3in rear pipework rather than a full engine-back system, listed with 1¾in tuned-length headers. It suits a VY Series 2 / VZ 5.7 ute that already has its headers and front pipe in place and needs the back half matched in 3in, with the rear routed for the ute body. We confirm what's fitted so the rear section joins cleanly.
Why 3in on the 5.7 ute?
The 3in bore opens the pipe up for a 5.7-litre V8 ute chasing a freer top-end or carrying other breathing work, trading a little low-rpm velocity for more flow higher up. Behind 1¾in tuned-length primaries — the street-V8 bore that scavenges cleanly without bleeding low-down torque — it's the bigger-pipe path over the 2½in ute systems.
