Pacemaker PP5363-31 is a tuned-length header set built for the wagon body — VT, VX and VY Series 1 V8 Holdens in long-roof form — paired with a 2in system to suit the load-area floorpan that a sedan doesn't share. The 1⁻₇⁄₈in primaries are tuned-length, so the runner lengths are matched rather than arbitrary.
Why a wagon-specific header set?
The wagon floorpan, rear suspension mounting and load-area sheet metal sit differently to a sedan or ute, and that changes where pipework can run underneath. This PP5363-31 listing is cut for the VT–VY Series 1 V8 wagon specifically, so the tuned-length runners and the 2in system are routed for that body rather than forced to fit it. What does a tuned header do versus the cast manifold?
A factory cast manifold dumps each cylinder's exhaust into a shared lump close to the head; a tuned-length header gives every cylinder its own mandrel-bent runner of matched length before they merge, which lets the gas pulses leave more cleanly. Is it road legal?
These are tuned extractors, not a catalytic converter or muffler, so there's no emissions device built into the part itself.
