The MPI Automotive SSMKFD0113 pairs a left-and-right 2.5in routing with a hotdog resonator and muffler for the Ford BA and BF V8 4V sedan. It's the mirrored-pipe layout with an added centre resonator to tame drone.
Left-and-right routing plus a hotdog
This system keeps a separate 2.5in pipe down each side of the car off each bank, then adds a hotdog resonator alongside the muffler. The hotdog is a straight-through silencer that takes the edge off mid-range drone without fully muffling the note, so the SSMKFD0113 keeps the mirrored left-and-right character while running a touch calmer than a setup without one.
