Displacement is the line in the sand here. MPI lists the SSMKFD0234 against the 5.0L V8 specifically, so the header flanges and runner geometry are matched to that engine's port layout under the FG ute's bonnet. One muffler per bank, not a shared centre line
Instead of merging into a single pipe, each cylinder bank gets its own 2.5in run and its own muffler down that side of the tray.
