The MPI Automotive SSMKMA0027 is the no-cat, no-muffler build for the B32P Mazda BT-50 3.2L — the most stripped-back configuration in the family. With both the catalytic converter and the muffler deleted, it is the freest-flowing and hardest-sounding of the B32P options.
What does deleting both the cat and muffler change?
Removing the muffler leaves nothing to absorb the gas pulse, so the note is direct and loud; removing the cat takes out the converter restriction as well. Together they make the SSMKMA0027 the least-restricted version for the B32P 3.2L, but also the one with the most consequences for compliance. There's no sound figure to quote — the character is plainly the most aggressive of the variants.
Is it road legal?
Because this build deletes the catalytic converter on the BT-50's diesel system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road use only. The muffler-delete also affects noise compliance. This is the configuration to choose only for off-road, competition or property use, not a registered road vehicle.
What's a cat-and-muffler delete for?
