Built for the earlier Ford Ranger PJ and PK and the Mazda BT-50 (2006–2011), the MPI Automotive STM833 Sting Throttle Max is a throttle response controller. It plugs into the pedal harness to firm up accelerator response without touching the engine calibration.
Why a throttle controller on a PJ/PK Ranger?
The PJ and PK Ranger and its BT-50 twin use a drive-by-wire pedal with a soft factory map, which is why they can feel lazy off the line. The STM833 reshapes that pedal signal through selectable modes so the throttle answers sooner to the same pedal input. It's a feel change, not a fuel or boost change.
