Redback Redback Performance 2.5" Centre Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback STR102 is a performance centre muffler listed to fit the Holden Commodore VN, VP and VR. It is the mid-section silencer for these early-1990s Commodores, built to flow more openly than the standard box while sitting in the factory location.
The centre (mid) muffler is the first silencer along the underfloor run, taking the early pass at quietening before the rear box. A performance version flows more freely than the restrictive factory part, so it lets the system breathe a little more while still controlling drone. On the VN–VR Commodore the STR102 replaces that mid box in the original position.
It suits an owner of the early-1990s VN, VP or VR Commodore who wants a freer-flowing mid section than stock as part of opening the system up, without re-routing anything. As a performance box it leans the system towards a more open note rather than the heavily damped factory result — scope it that way.
It is listed to fit the Holden Commodore VN, VP and VR. These ran in sedan and wagon bodies through the early 1990s, so confirm your exact series and body with the workshop before ordering. Feed data is a guide; the car decides the fit.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits performance centre mufflers like the STR102 in-house across the Illawarra. We check the feed and exit pipes and the hangers either side, fit the box in the factory location, and make sure it clears the floor before signing it off.
