The Redback STR102 is a 2.5in performance centre muffler for the Holden Commodore VN, VP and VR (V6 and V8) and VS V8 sedan. It's the mid-section silencer with a performance lean, covering both six- and eight-cylinder cars across those models.
What does a performance centre muffler change?
Sitting in the middle of the run, this is the box that shapes a lot of the in-cabin tone. A performance centre muffler is built to flow more freely than a restrictive stock silencer while still doing real quietening, so it opens the note from the middle of the car rather than the tailpipe.
