Redback 2.5" Centre Muffler Exhaust.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback STR116 is a centre muffler in a 2.5in bore, built for the live-axle version of the Holden Commodore VS sedan. It's the mid-section silencer rather than the rear box, so it's the piece you change when the centre of the run is the part that matters.
The centre muffler lives in the middle of the exhaust, between the front pipe and the rear silencer. It does a share of the quietening work and sets a lot of the in-cabin tone, because it sits roughly under the floor. As a single centre assembly this is a targeted replacement — one box in the middle of the line, not a full kit.
This unit is listed specifically for the VS Commodore sedan with the live rear axle. Rear-end design changes how the exhaust is routed and where it has to clear suspension components, so a part cut for the live-axle car is shaped to suit that floor and axle layout. Getting the right one avoids clearance grief at the back of the car.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VS sedan with a live axle, in a 2.5in bore. Because rear-end and pipework variations exist across the VS range, confirm your car's exact configuration — live axle versus independent rear — and the rest of your system with the workshop before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this centre muffler in-house across the Illawarra. We cut it into your existing 2.5in run, check it clears the live-axle hardware and set the hangers so it sits square. Bring the car in and we'll confirm it before booking.
