Redback Redback Dual Exit Rear Muffler Delete Pipe.7L V8 VT VX VY VZ Sedans.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The Redback STR131TP is a dual-exit rear muffler delete pipe, listed to fit the 5.7L V8 Holden Commodore VT, VX, VY and VZ sedan. Instead of a rear muffler it runs straight pipe to two tailpipes — the loudest, freest-flowing option at the back of the car.
This replaces the rear muffler with straight pipe that exits through two tailpipes. With no rear muffler in the path there's nothing absorbing or reflecting the V8's note at the back, so it's the freest-flowing and loudest rear option for the VT-VZ V8 sedan. It's a deliberately raw choice, not a quietening one.
Deleting the rear muffler lets the 5.7L V8 through unchecked at the tail, so expect a much louder, harder note than any chambered rear. We won't put a decibel figure on it, but this is the option for someone chasing maximum volume and flow off the back of the car — not for those wanting it civil.
A rear-muffler delete makes the car significantly louder, and exhaust-noise limits apply to road-registered vehicles in NSW. We won't claim it meets them. Treat this as a part where the noise-compliance question must be settled with the workshop before it goes on a registered car.
