The Redback STR163 is the left-hand performance rear muffler listed to fit the Holden Commodore VE and VF. These later Commodores split the rear silencing into a left and a right box, and this is the left-side unit in that pair.
Why a left-side rear muffler?
The VE and VF Commodore run a dual-rear layout with a separate muffler on each side of the car, so the rear silencing is shared between a left and a right box. The STR163 is the left-hand unit. Ordering the correct side matters — the box and its pipe stubs are handed to suit that corner of the rear floor and the exit on the left of the valance.
