The Redback STR200 is a centre muffler listed to fit the Ford Territory from 2004 to 2011. As the mid-system silencer for the Territory wagon, it sits between the front and rear of the run and does much of the quietening in the middle of the car.
Where the centre muffler sits on the Territory
On the Territory the centre muffler is the middle silencer of the exhaust, carrying gas rearward under the wagon floor and taking out a good share of the noise before the rear section. The STR200 replaces that part across the 2004–2011 range. It's the usual fix when the original centre unit has rusted or split a seam — a section-level repair rather than a whole new system.
What this muffler changes
It's a chambered centre muffler, so it quietens by absorption and reflection and restores the Territory's standard, settled note rather than adding volume.
