STR613 is the passenger-side rear muffler for the Holden Commodore VE and VF. Supplied by Redback, it's the handed rear silencer for the passenger half of a dual rear setup, sold individually rather than as a matched pair.
A dual-exit VE-VF Commodore runs a handed muffler on each side, with the inlet, outlet and mounts set for that half of the car. The STR613 is the passenger-side unit. The routing and hanger geometry are mirrored left to right, so fitting the wrong-side muffler leaves the pipework and tailpipe out of line. If both rear boxes are due, you'd combine it with the driver-side equivalent.
This is the rear silencer at the back of the run, doing the final quietening before the gas leaves the tailpipe. A chambered muffler works by absorbing and reflecting sound to keep the exit note controlled. Sold as a single passenger-side unit, it's the part to reach for when one side is rusted, blown or damaged — a targeted swap rather than a whole-system change.
It's listed to fit the passenger's side of the Holden Commodore VE and VF. Since that spans two related generations with different bodies and exit setups, confirm your exact model, body and tailpipe arrangement with the workshop so we match the right side and spec before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this rear muffler in-house across the Illawarra. We take out the old passenger-side box, fit the STR613, and check hangers and tailpipe alignment so it sits true. Bring your Commodore in and we'll confirm the side and book the bay.
