The Redback STR614 is a 3in rear muffler made for the driver's side of the Holden Commodore VE/VF. Side-specific is the key: on a twin-exit VE/VF, the left and right rear mufflers aren't interchangeable, and this is the driver-side unit.
Why a side-specific rear muffler?
The VE/VF runs a split dual rear, so each side has its own muffler shaped for its routing and hanger points. The STR614 is the driver-side 3in rear box — fit it on its matching side, or as one half of a pair when both are being replaced. At 3in it's sized for a freer-flowing V8 setup rather than a stock six.
Where does it sit in the system?
This is a single rear muffler, not a full system. It replaces the driver-side rear box on a VE/VF, which makes it a sensible repair or upgrade for one side without disturbing the centre section or the opposite bank. It joins to your existing pipework.
