The Pacemaker KB8000-XXMX is a single 3in exhaust kit listed to fit the Mazda BT-50 2.5L and 3.0L turbo-diesel (2006–2011), built with a muffler and no catalytic converter. The cat-less build is the defining feature — this is the off-road version of the kit.
Is it road legal?
This kit does not include a catalytic converter, so on a road-relevant diesel system it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road use only. There's no softening that: removing the converter changes the emissions hardware the BT-50 left the factory with. If road registration matters, the with-cat version is the build to look at. Confirm your intended use with the workshop before fitting.
What does the single 3in kit cover?
At a 3in bore, this kit is sized up from a tighter stock diesel system, suiting the 2.5L and 3.0L turbo-diesel BT-50. It runs a single 3in pipe through to a muffler, which keeps the note in check even without the cat in the line.
